I have a lot of amazing talents (thank you, autism)…now, if only more of those remarkable abilities were marketable! Here is a list of things I am awesome at that I wish I could get paid to do:
- Sudoku Master
- Snake Spotter
- Hidden Pictures or Spot the Difference Finder
- LEGO put-together-er
- Build a Bear Expert (no, I do not want to work in the busy store, I just want to be paid for collecting/playing with Build a Bears and knowing a lot about the brand lol)
- Video Game Babysitter (I am awesome at babysitting on video games, I’ve gotten a promotion twice in the past week on my new Nintendo DS game)
- Online Medical Information Gatherer and Hypochondriac
- Dance Moms super-fanΒ (I’m way too obsessed with that show)
- The ability to quote The Lion King (the original of course)Β from beginning to end – every spoken word, every song lyric.
- Cartoon character/toy identifier
- Unicorn admirer
Hello Miranda I love your job wish list ! You do have lots of talents unknown to us until now. I hope you find one of those jobs !

Great post
I wonder what a famous painter, heralded as a genius a century after his death, life was like
Say he died penniless, and unknown
His art and work are the same
Why do certain skills bring wealth and others only personal satisfaction
I was a world class worrier

Those jobs may not exist, but there are some crazy ones out there that do! You could learn to read stories for Audible or work in a preschool attached to a church and rock babies all day. Beer taster, friend hugger, personal shopper…I’ve heard of some wild jobs you would not believe. Check out Penny Hoarder for more interesting jobs. π

I worked in preschools and enjoyed it, but it was just too hard on me physically because of my back and feet issues. Otherwise, I would probably still be trying to do that.

One of those does exist, and one at lest used to, sort of. π
Lego stores have people that put together their kits for display. Some of the higher end other stores that carry legos (like the now defunct FAO Schwartz) do also.
The cartoon identifier… Well, Warner Brothers used to have a chain of studio stores. I worked at one during the holidays several years ago. Part of the application process was being tested on the characters so we could discuss them with customers and know what products we had related to that character. π

I kind of knew about the Lego stores, but none of that is near me that I know of. That is cool about the Warner Brothers store. We used to have a Disney Store at our local mall and I miss it a lot.

My eldest grandson has autism. I think he’ll do great creating new projects at Lego. Do they have jobs like that at Lego Land?

I hear they do, but I’m not sure. Never been there myself.

Hahah love it! I think you should put all of these on a CV and see what happens! I’m going to add ‘professional moaner and complainer’ (a true British talent so I’m probably not special with that one) π
