Poetry – Elephant Woman

Ever anxious
to worship the gods
and enjoy the conversation,
the elephant woman
round with love seed
eats little
sleeps lightly
and being courteous
as she is clever,
throws her low
musical voice
to call forth the
ancient ones
across time and space.

(This poem was inspired by an excerpt from “The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana”)
