Here in Ohio we are now in an official lockdown, where only essential business is allowed to be out and about. I don’t have any official business, so I’m stuck at home lol. Being home all the time does start to get to you after a little bit. You don’t realize how much even small things, like being able to go to a restaurant, sit down, and eat affect your mood until you can no longer do them.
On the positive side, I am trying to stay busy. Today I did some cleaning and organizing around the house and it felt REALLY good. I would definitely recommend it to others stuck at home. Doing stuff like that makes you feel like you are accomplishing something, and it feels great to look around afterwards and see the change your cleaning up has made.
I’ve also been reading some, doing a lot of social media gazing, watching tik tok dances (a guilty pleasure of mine), doing puzzle books, and I took a few paid product review jobs through Upwork, just for something to do and to make a few extra dollars. So far I’ve signed on to review several supplements/vitamins (I loved the hemp gummies!), books, wrinkle reducing masks, a nail decorating kit, and a kebob maker. Hey, I get lots of free stuff that way too!
So how are you all doing? Are you under quarantine? If so, what are you doing to stay busy? Are you having any trouble with depression or anxiety? I know I have at times.
Welcome to my world. Weβre on day 9 of lockdown. Luckily we both already work from home and the only thing I really miss is going out for a daily bike ride. Having to make do with the home trainer on the terrace. Like you Iβve been doing a spot of tidying up and sorting out, both of which are very satisfying.

We actually started living like we were in quarantine about a week or so ago, but it is a little weird to have it made official. This is one experience we’ll never forget!

Here in England we are not on lock down yet, but all the bars and clubs are closed, I work as a forklift driver in a warehouse so working from home is not an option lol.

Stay safe! I worry about all those who can’t stay home.

We’re on self isolation, because of our age, so we are not allowed to shop. Kind family and friends, younger, who can still shop bring us what we need. I drove to our allotment, opened the gates with latex gloves, and did a couple of hours digging my plot, and drove home. I didn’t see any one except in the distance. We are allowed that as our “walk”. People are being stupid, and not taking regulations seriously, so lockdown could follow. Our government is indecisive
Afterwards i did sketching in my garden, something I never have time for. In one sense a productive day

I’m glad you are taking precautions for yourself! Being able to accomplish anything still feels really good when you can’t live normally. I haven’t felt much like making art recently, but maybe I’ll get in the mood!

Since my wife and I are both over 80 with health problems, we self quarantined days before others. Cancelled ‘unneeded’ doc app

Yeah, we have pretty much been self quarantining at least a week or so, ever since my husband (who is a teacher) started staying home after schools closed. We have pretty much just gone out to get groceries.

It does gets boring to stay at home all BB the time. I go out for a walk in the local community area and I did some sorting and cleaning too. It is relaxing. πππ

If it weren’t so cold, I would probably go out walking. Hope it warms up soon!

We are supposed to voluntarily stay home as much as possible and socially isolate. I am being a responsible citizen. Itβs difficult because Iβm used to going to work every day and shopping when I want, especially at Target. But itβs important for us all to play a part in this.

We are too. I am good at working from home, but at other things like PT. The EDS society but out an online set of exercises for those who are hypermobile and can’t go to routine PT for the forseeable future. Wish me the motivation to actually do it this week, maybe. Also to fix my sleep schedule, which immediately reacts to the lack of as clear divisions of time of not leaving, plus less routine movement from just going places, etc., with “what if you just totally night shift! Who cares if the rest of the remote people in your life haven’t.”

I miss my routine. As an aspie, routine is so important to me and it really throws me off when it changes so suddenly and I don’t know when it will go back to normal.

The only trouble we’re having in Kansas, is finding toilet paper. Though, groceries are hard to come by as well. The stores can’t keep up after the initial onslaught. Frankly, I’m disappointed in the people who hoarded; they only took food and essentials away from people who needed them, particularly families with children and seniors. They should all be ashamed of their selves and I would lable them as cowards. I think we should put them all on a slow boat to China. That said, I keep busy by exercising & writing, thankfully the weather has been pleasant. Nevertheless, I still think the majority of us will survive it as long as we follow the guidelines given us.
Be brave.

Yeah, the hoarding is really a bad thing. Toilet paper is hard to find here, as well as milk, bread, cleaning wipes, cereal, rice, pasta, eggs, meat, etc. Last time we went shopping, half the grocery section was probably missing.

On another note–I’m totally amazed at all the people & organizations who have stepped up. And I can’t say enough about how this has ultimately been handled, we have done all we can do and we are still willing to do more. With the exception of a few people in congress who will go unnamed. I have to quit posting on this topic it’s just too crazy. Than you for your patience Maranda.
