Hi! I am an artist, author, and blogger who also happens to have Asperger’s Syndrome. I have won several awards and honors for my writings and artwork. I suffer from a few severe mental illness and chronic pain conditions (Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME, Ehlers Danlos, Degenerative Disc Disease, etc.), which greatly affects my life and makes me want to advocate for others going through similar things. Other interests of mine include reading, writing, drawing, watching cartoons and movies, collecting toys, hanging out with my family, and annoying my 3 cats.

I’m far enough out of touch with the younger generation that I feel officially old, and I’m completely okay with that.
LOL, I haven’t gotten there yet, but then again I’ve always been told I look very young for my age, so even when I get to that age it may take a while anyhow. We’ll see.

LOL, I think we all hit a point at some age where we start to feel that way.

I can relate. I wasn’t ready for the first time I was called “sir” or “offered the seniors rate”

True story is I was offered the seniors rate at a golf driving range. I turned it down, I was in my forties ! We got a laugh out of it.

Agreed! The older I get, the less the world makes sense to me. Also, the older I get, the more things seem to be moving faster!

For me, the younger generation is becoming more lost in their technology, so being out of touch is good, I feel!
By the way, I was a computer programmer and project manager for 27+ years and have no fear myself.

Some aspects of youth I miss; others are gladly cast off! ❤ I enjoyed your poem, Maranda! Happy Halloween!
