I’m feeling a bit like this weird-looking guy I sketched the other day. Dazed, confused, and like I’ve been through the wringer. I am so very happy I won my SSDI case, but I’m almost a little in shock and kind of feeling like “what do I do now”? After fighting for something for so long, it is kind of weird to actually get it and have the fight over. I’m not complaining at all, I am SO very thankful, but my brain just needs some time to adjust and move from the mentality of scarcity and fear to one of feeling more secure.

Here are a few of my recent favorite ACEO artist trading cards I have created. The first image is my own version of the Mothman creature of folklore. The other two somewhat look like abstract demons to me. I figured all three drawings went together well since they are all weird, kind of creepy/dark, and all three have actually already sold.

Here are a few new drawings I made over the past week and just put up for sale on my Ebay store. The bird one was actually inspired by a photo in an issue of National Geographic, the cat one was just random weirdness put together, and the strange-looking creature in the last one was inspired by an artwork in a book I have been reading called “100 Artists See Satan” (as it sounds, the book is a collection of artworks which portray each artist’s perception of the devil or evil):
Last night I was looking through an old sketchbook and decided to spice up or rework a few old drawings and put them up for sale on my Ebay store. Here are the artworks I decided to give another shot:
I received notice today that my drawing “A Soft Place to Land” won honorable mention in the Disability Legal Rights Center Art Contest, run in conjunction with the Art of Autism website. Here is the drawing that placed:
I enjoy entering contests like these and am always honored when I actually win or place in any way. Receiving this news today was a welcome happy moment in a week that has been pretty hard overall.
I’m still recuperating from my wisdom teeth surgery, but thought I would share a few recent drawings. I hope you like them:
You can find these artworks and others for sale at my Ebay store.
The other day my husband and I were sitting on our outside swing watching the clouds, when I saw a fully formed image appear in the fluffy whiteness. I quickly ran inside to grab my sketch book and created a drawing of exactly what I saw in the sky. To me, it looked like some kind of ancient God, alien, or weird fantasy creature:
I didn’t embellish the image at all, other than adding color. What would you think if you saw this looking back at you in the sky?
This drawing is currently for sale on my Ebay store, along with many other original artworks. Check them out!
