Some New Art Trading Cards!

I’m still on a bit of a sticker collage kick with my art, as you’ll soon see. I’ve always loved the fun, child-like aspect of stickers, so I enjoy finding ways to include them in my art trading cards, especially when I get the chance to feature favorite characters or cherished subjects (like fairy tales). If you like any of these ACEO trading cards, feel free to check out my Ebay store to see what I’m currently selling (most of these new ones I’ll be posting for sale tomorrow)!

Halloween Watercolor and Sticker Collage Art

I may be almost 35-years-old (my birthday is October 27th), but I still love stickers! Glittery stickers, cute stickers, puffy stickers, shiny stickers, character stickers…I like them all! Sometimes I take that love of them and try to integrate it into my artworks, mostly in ACEO art trading card collages that can also be used as bookmarks, which I sell on my Ebay store. I figure it is a simple, fun way to share my favorite stickers with the world.

I don’t just stick stickers on paper and be done with it though, I try to create eye-catching designs and often spruce them up with painting or other color-boosting techniques. Here are a few recent Halloween ones I’ve made with a combination of watercolor paints and stickers:

Video: Some New Fun Naive Collage Artworks & PO Box Info!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share the below video featuring some of my newest artworks and cute character collages. Recently I’ve really gotten into combining my passion for cute, child-like cartoons and characters with my desire to create unique naive outsider art. As mentioned in the video, I also have a PO Box now where fans can send me their art, letters, or anything else they might want featured in a future YouTube video! If you see any art you like or would like to see other artworks I have for sale, make sure to check out my Ebay store: http://www.ebay.com/usr/shojobeatgirl1982.

My Day in a Nutshell

Woke up…went back to sleep.

Woke up again…tempted to go to sleep, but had to potty so figured I might as well get up.

Ate some Brownie Crunch cereal (very good by the way) and then showered, where I had a vicious run-in with a spider.

Went shopping.  Realized everything is way too expensive.  Stopped by PetSmart to see the kitties up for adoption, almost took one home that was on death row.  If she’s still there tomorrow, might have to take her home.  They are so desperate to get rid of her that they are willing to take any amount of money to adopt her AND are giving away a large bag of cat food for free to whoever buys her.

Went home, sat down to do some coloring.  It relaxes me…love the Animal Planet coloring book I bought “for the kids”.

Took our foster son to therapy, listened to a preteen scream and throw a tantrum in the waiting room for the entire hour we were there.

Came home, read some, watched some Sesame Street and wrote a book review.

Took some Tylenol.

Ate an Oreo brownie (those things are GOOD!!!)

And that brings us to this very moment, where I am sharing my mundane life with you. 🙂

So how was your day?
